Mass Delete of Products

The Mass Delete of Products extension for Magento allows cleaning the Magento database automatically in 3 ways unavailable in default Magento:  

• bulk deletion in one click;
• via cron (e.g, delete 10 XXX items once a day at 23:59);
• delete products with a certain attribute of different brands.  

Magento database records every single product and its attributes. Old and non-relevant products waste lots of resources, especially when there are hundreds/thousands of them. The more data it stores, the more requests server receives. It slows the work of the admin area, making store management less efficient and proactive. The deletion of non-relevant products reduces the load on your server, fastens order processing, load speed, and other essential processes. Moreover, Google considers the site's performance as the main ranking factor, so the Mass Delete of Products extension improves positions in search results. 

Manual 

Go to Catalog >Delete Products by Attribute

Choose which items you want to delete:

1. product's status(1);
2. attribute set(2);
3. attribute(3);
4. option(4).

Then, select one of the next options:

• Search - find items with defined conditions.
• Set up this rule for cron - set specific conditions to delete products
  You can find the information about deleted products in logs at var/log/magenmagic_attributedelete_cron.log. Configure Cron settings at System > Configuration > [MagenMagic extensions] Attribute Delete > Cron Expression. If you want to delete products every day at midnight set 59 23 * * *.
• Reset All Rules - cancel all rules without refreshing the page.

When you press Search you see a table with items that meet the conditions you've set. Click Select All, then Submit to delete products in bulk at a time. You will see a confirmation message. You can find all the information about the deleted products in logs.
